San Carlos Unified School District – Graduation Event Safety Notice
 

The San Carlos Unified School District is announcing enhanced security measures for tonight’s high school graduation ceremony to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all attendees.
 

Security Screening Procedures:

All attendees will be subject to security screening prior to entering the football field. This includes:
• Walk-through metal detectors
• Bag checks – Clear bags only will be allowed

The clear bag policy will be enforced for both the High School and Middle School graduation ceremonies.

Prohibited Items:
The following items will not be permitted inside the graduation venue:
• Confetti poppers
• Air horns
• Weapons of any kind
• Individuals under the influence of alcohol or illegal substances

Important Note:

Confetti poppers have previously caused damage to the football field’s sprinkler system, which has prompted their inclusion on the prohibited items list.
