ALDA LEYVA

My name is Alda Leyva and I am proud to be a BRAVE teacher! I am originally from Mexico, received a Child Development Certification from Glendale Community College in California and am a certified CTE teacher in Arizona. I previously worked in the Foodservice Industry as a Foodservice Director. This will be my 14th year teaching Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management at San Carlos High School and I believe that every year brings new opportunities to keep learning while teaching. 

I have four wonderful children who are the love of my life, along with their father and my husband of 36 years.  I also have a smart and beautiful granddaughter.  I love summer days, watching movies and eating popcorn, and I enjoy dancing with my family and friends.
