RONDA ESCALERA

Hello, I’m Ronda Escalera.  I grew up in Anaheim, California, close to Disneyland.  I remained close there while raising four sons, who have now given me seven grandchildren.  My husband and I now have made our home here in Globe, Arizona. 

My Education/Career - My college start was from California State University, Fullerton, where I majored in Business, with information systems concentration, earning my Bachelor’s degree. (This was the field I worked in while raising our children).  Later, when our children grew up, I went back to college because it had always been my dream to be a teacher.  At Azusa Pacific University I earned my teaching credentials in multiple subjects elementary, and I worked for a few years as a general education teacher. Believing my strength was in helping those students who have special needs, I went back to college.  I earned my credentials and master's degree in special education, and have been teaching and supporting exceptional students who have specific needs and talents.  

My Interests/hobbies - Animal preservation, spending time with my children and grandchildren, camping, and crafts.
